某論文集に収載されているRobert Humeの論文"Theatre History, 1660-1800: Aims, Materials, Methodology"を読む。かなりまえに一度読んだが、演劇、歴史、資料（証拠）、推論、テキスト、劇場環境……などをめぐって、頭のなかで柱のようなものがぐらつきだしたので、先達のお説教に耳をかたむけた次第。資料が乏しいなか、推論はどこまで許されるか？　ヒゲのオヤジは、I shall argue that we need to get out of our ruts and make more imaginative use of the evidence available to us(9)と語りはじめる。

Harry Potterの第一作目を読み終わったので、Harry Putter and the Chamber of Cheesecakes(2004)をkindleで読みはじめる。
