夏は居眠りの季節

４日。灼熱の夏がやってくる。ODNB全巻６０冊を本棚に並べる。壮観。Sir Anthony Loveの第３幕第３場まで読んだあと、眠りにおちる。

夏のケンシュウ（という名の……）で、「冷静」はハワイへ、「情熱」はイギリスに飛ぶそうな。行くところがキャラと逆じゃないかね。「冷静」は、いますぐ南極に行ってタロとジロの物語をフィルムにおさめ、いつのまにかHachiになってしまったお犬さまに忠犬のなんたるかを教えなければならないし、「情熱」は、やはりヴェスヴィオ火山に行って久しく滞っている噴火を誘発し、その火で正真正銘のナポリタンをつくってマグマ大使の名をほしいままにしなければならないのではないかいね。なんでやねん。ワシは来週韓国行きます。

２日。せっかく古書店に行ったのに手ぶらで帰るのも癪なので、「読書術」に関するある新書を買い、コーヒーショップで読み終える。

１日。Web上に無意味な文をしたためはじめて１年という月日が経過したこの日、映画を見るという計画が頓挫してしまい、コーヒーばかり３杯も飲むことになる。

そして、Rajchmanを読了する。「ある種の探偵小説として哲学を見る」男の思想を一語であらわすとるすると、"Is"ではなくて"And"。

「それ」を志向することも、「それ」を装填することも、「それ」を無視することも、「それ」を黙認することも、「それ」を捕捉することもしないものとしての"life"の思想、あるいは、"belief-in-the-world"という態度。この場合のbeliefを「ちょこっと触れる」身振りとしてイメージしながら読み終える。

端的に述べて、休みは眠い……。
